This piece is really moving. You can see how much he loves this fairy and how she is basking in his attention . She is obviously pleased with herself. I wish you would have shown another fairy perhaps envious of his small muse . The plant looks like it is dying perhaps this is a representation of what the painter is going through. Slowly dying? Jealous of how free the fairies are, and beautiful. The tree is wrapped around his arm which makes me wonder how long has he been there and is he trapped? He doesn't show any obvious signs of wear , so maybe the fairies are restoring him with magic? Is he caught in a glamour? The longer I look at this Image the more I see . Wonderfull !
I would have said 'fair', but the vision of the piece is what this critic kept saying was so great, between the imagry and the almost hidden bits of interest--yet they rated it the lowest with a 3? If it had been a 4, I would have agreed this was fair. I think that's one reason so many people vote it unfair. THe words don't match that rating. If they wanted to keep the rating a 4 over all, they could have made technique a 4, and impact a 4 1/2 perhaps?
